Erin Zam

I thought you might like to see this fab handmade book from the super talented Erin Zam. It's strapped with vintage book spines - I can't tell you how much I love this idea and the final product. Unique and gorgeous!

Really like this indian design textile at West Elm. It looks stunning on that beautiful sofa too - doesn't it? I wonder if there's a site or software where you can upload a pic of some fabric and upload a pic of your sofa so that you can see how your reupholstered piece would look - probably there is - I'm sure I'm not the first person to think of it ;-)

Sew Sweet Stitches!

This is the sweetest handmade iPhone case I've seen. From Sew Sweet Stitches on Etsy. And she also creates gorgeous felt pins, hair clips and cuffs(below).

My Bearded Pigeon

Putting maps on pillows is not exactly a new idea but these are done REALLY well - they are graphically splendid, don't you think? The producer, My Bearded Pigeon, has chosen such a wildly colourful selection of maps - grouped together they really are impressive. Another vendor at Poppytalk Handmade Market this month.

Helen Rawlinson

Really fun and fabulous printed textiles from UK artist Helen Rawlinson - love these! Just one of the amazing vendors at Poppytalk Handmade Market this month.

Inspiration - ribbon

A staggering selection of ribbon from IFN Textiles. A mesmerizing collection - hard to chose my faves. See for yourself :-)

All the time in the world!

If I had all the time in the world I might attempt to do some embroidery with sprinkles. Or, I might bake 9 fancy cupcakes and ice them all differently. One things for sure, I would definitely bake them in these gorgeous cupcake wrappers . .

Cupcake wrappers from here (thank you Cathy!) Cupcake from here. Embroidered sprinkles from here.

Vintage thread cards.

More vintage thread cards - this time from Swan and Shears. I'm really intrigued by these - they seem to be all the rage at flea markets and vintage shops these days. In fact vintage notions in general are hot hot hot.

Mini envelope notebooks.

I think these are cool and clever! Little notebooks made from reclaimed paper and brown envelope covers. Wonderful unique idea! From Miniature Rhino!
