Inspiration - vintage book covers

Vintage Puffin Picture Book covers. I remember seeing all of these at the library when I was a kid - right next to the Ladybird books - did you read those? The illustrations are wonderful aren't they? These are from a huge collection of vintage books right here.

Vintage Touch

This great little tea cozy made from vintage fabric caught my eye on Craftgawker(via Mai Autumn) This seller(Vintage Touch) has a great eye for vintage textiles and does a fab job transforming them into useful items.

La Boom!

These are really sweet - tiny little shadow boxes by La Boom. So intriguing and adorable. Love all the detail and the dimension.

Good Girl Gifts!

I am so smitten with these gorgeous wedding invitations from Good Girl Gifts. They're so vibrant and fresh and yet so chic. Each one is hand made - a real keepsake. Good Girl Gifts is a boutique stationery brand and design studio created by Tanis Uzwyshyn right here in Canada. Tanis is so fun and her work is so beautiful so if you're headed for the Stationery Show this weekend in NYC be sure to stop by her booth and check out all the fabulous pieces in her new collection(and say hi from me!) Booth # 1559 at the Javits Centre, May 15 - 18.

Felt cameos

Aren't these fun? And so original! So stylish and beautifully crafted. I'm smitten with these too! Beautiful felt cameos from Yalipaz on Etsy.

Ekofabrik

Thought you might like this super cute crocheted pillow from Ekofabrik. Beautiful styling and a wonderful decorating piece for spring!

The Lonesome Club

I had great fun treasure hunting for vintage ephemera on Saturday. One of my favourite finds is this complimentary guest card from The Lonesome Club of Vancouver. Apart from the wonderful typography,(check out the lazy 's') the whole concept of a lonesome club is just so romantic and old fashioned - love it!

Inspiration - vintage typography.

Fab old class room jotters from Sadie Olive. I love these and this seller often has a great selection of them. These ones are a lot older than the ones you usually find at flea markets and brocantes.

Union Jack bags.

Couldn't resist these faded Union Jack bags from Accessorize - I think this iconic flag is going to be around as a design feature for a little longer!
